Pedestrian killed at colonnade mall

The Colonnade Mall in Kemptville erupted into a horrific scene on July 15.

A 60-year-old woman was hit by a truck in front of the Kemptville LCBO shortly before noon. Witness Sara Labelle, an employee of Bulk Barn which is located directly across the street was about to start her 12 p.m. shift when she heard the ambulance pass by the rear of the store. She rushed out to the front to see what was happening.

Multiple-car crash on 417 sends one to hospital

One person is in hospital after four to five vehicles were involved in a collision on Highway 417 near Pinecrest Saturday morning.

Fire, ambulance and Ontario Provincial Police responded to the collision, which blocked the eastbound lanes between the Pinecrest and Woodroffe exits. Traffic was moving again by 9:45 a.m. as crews cleaned up the scene.

Four injured in two-vehicle collision on Greenbank Road

Four people were seriously injured in a high-speed two-car crash at the intersection of Greenbank Road and Barnsdale Road late Wednesday.

Ottawa paramedics received the call about the collision just after 10 p.m. Wednesday. They treated four patients on scene.

Single-vehicle crash sends 21-year old to hospital

A car accident at the intersection of Industrial Avenue and Riverside Drive has left a 21-year old man in hospital in serious condition, Ottawa Police say.

The accident happened around 2:10 a.m. Wednesday, causing northbound lanes of Riverside Dr. from Industrial Ave. to be closed temporarily. They have since been re-opened.

Man in critical condition after car accident on Carp road

OTTAWA — Police closed Richardson Side Road between Carp Road and Thomas Argue for a few hours due to a vehicle accident at that location Sunday afternoon.

Ottawa Fire Services’ extracation units were sent to the scene just before 4:00 p.m. to pry open the driver’s side door of a two-door convertible that had sustained a “severe impact.”

Man dead after vehicle slams into tree south of Ottawa

A 21-year-old man is dead after police say his vehicle went off the road south of Ottawa and crashed into a tree.

Police say he was driving around 5 p.m. Friday (on County Road 21) in Augusta Township when his vehicle left the road.

Pedestrian pinned between two vehicles in serious condition, paramedics say

A 50-year-old man was sent to hospital in serious condition after paramedics said he was pinned between a car and truck near the intersection of Bank and Hunt Clubs Roads Wednesday evening.

Paramedics responded to the intersection at 5:26 p.m. and treated the man for possible leg fractures. They said the pedestrian also complained about back pain.

Ottawa police are investigating the collision, paramedics said.
